Zoo-pendous Blog Hop Challenge

Peacocks, and hippos and snakes, oh my! Judy Rozema was our lucky winner from this year’s Mother Of All Blog Hops and one of her prizes was the chance to work with TSG to design a stamp set in a theme of her choice.
She said that she would like a fun zoo stamp set that incorporated some animals that are different than you might find in other stamp sets and we knew just who the perfect illustrator would be for this! Melyssa’s adorably whimsical zoo animals will have you going wild!

Zoo-pendous is a 6x8 set that includes 30 stamps and will sell for $24.

Would you like a chance to win the Zoo-pendous stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Zoo-pendous Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own Zoo-pendous stamp set. The winner will be announced Saturday July 30th during the Release Party Chat.
Judy was sweet enough to play along in our sneak peeks with us
but make sure you stop by her blog for all of the details :)
Now you begin your hop with Angela, but if you get lost at any point, hop on back here for the complete list of participants.

TSG117 - Getting Sketchy

This week Jessica is challenging us to create a card using this fun sketch. The simple layout is great to let your creativity flow! Have fun and we can’t wait to see what you come up with!

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that uses the sketch provided, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (August 1). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG117 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Need some inspiration to help you get started? Check out these great cards made by the following Trendsetters!

Stampbook Saturday

Hi Everyone!!! Ann here with another fun Stampbook Saturday. For my project today I knew what picture I wanted to use I just needed to find someones card to case and I found it here on Jessicas blog. The sentiment from In all the World  was just perfect and I knew it would make a perfect Stampbook Saturday layout with my picture.

Here is Jessicas card that I found:

And here is my project. This is a picture of my daughter and her best best friend. I think it is so cute how they alternated each color and what is even funnier to me is that her BFF is so fair skinned and my daughter gets so dark skinned in the summer!!!! The contrast cracks me up!!! Like vanilla and chocolate!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you are enjoying the weekend and staying cool wherever you are!!!

Fairy Land Paper Doll Tin

Join us tonight right here in the TSG Forum for our Friday Night Chat!
Everyone is welcome and we love to meet new people :)

Hello TSG Friends, it's me Christine with you again today with a Dollar Find Friday project to show you.  Our daughter is leaving shortly to spend a week with her cousins, 3 of them are sisters aged 3, 5 and 7 years old.  They are just sweet girly girls, and I thought I'd make a present for her to take along for them, a little tin full of fairy paper dolls with the sweet set The Fairy Best from There She Goes.

First I stamped and colored up a number of the images from the set in very girly colors, and punched out a number of 1 1/4 inch circles and cut them in half.  These will form the paper doll stands.

As you can see I added some pretty touches of glitter to the fairy wings.

Here is the set of paper dolls together...

To form the stand, all you do is cut the circles in half, then cut a slit in the rounded top center, as well as the center of the "doll" and slide them together.

Then the Dollar Store Item, actually it's not from the Dollar store, but it was a tin I had on hand at home, but you could easily find a tin like this at the Dollars store.  This one is about 6 x 10 x 4 inches.  I like that it has a window on top.

I decorated the outside of the tin with Designer paper, corduroy ribbon and some pretty felt flowers and buttons, and then spelled out Fairy Land in some Sizzix letters.  As you might be able to see I also decorated the inside of the tin too with some designer paper.  I trimmed it to 6 x 12 and then at the 5, 6  and 7 inch marks I scored the paper folding it up to create a separation in the tin.

On one side of the tin I put the completed paper dolls, and then on the other side I put stamped images so that the girls can color and create their own set of dolls.  This way it's an activity to play with and create with.  I know it will make for an afternoon of fun for the cousins.

Here's another look at the outside of the tin.

And everything inside the tin...

I'll have even more pictures of the project on my blog if you're interested :)  Thanks for joining me for some Fairy Land fun!
