Hi, it's Debby here with you today for Wednesday Trends. So as I was umming and ahhhing over what had caught my eye out in blog land just recently, I remembered seeing the use of panels cropping up more. Panels where the whole image had been split into sections, panels where just a sliver of gap peeks down to the base below, panels revealing a sentiment ...... panels everywhere!
For my card I wanted to use panels to add interest to my little scene and show peeks of the embossing below.
I added a swoosh of patterned paper to some off white card before using a die to cut the card into 3 pieces. Then I mounted the pieces over some embossed card before layering my coloured images over the top. I loved the effect of the panels and will certainly be using this simple technique to add interest to my cards in the future :)
I will be back on Friday with Anything But A Card! See you then :)

Trendsetter Tuesday-Debby!!!
Our resident Clean and Simple queen, Debby, is in the spotlight this week...and if I've said it once, I've said it a 1000x's, I just LOVE her style! I struggle with CAS, and pull it off, but she makes it look so easy!!! Her ability to pull together JUST the right elements from paper to embellishments, really, in my opinion is unsurpassed. She is the QUEEN of CAS in my eyes!!
The first card I wanted to show you was Debby's recent creation using our Autumn stamp set. It was for a no patterened paper challenge, which always makes me sad...but she laughs at it like it's easy, because it IS for her, LOL!! We used the same set on the challenge, and I was SO happy with my card...then I saw hers...LOL!! No really, though...she is a ROCK star, and I LOVE what she did with this one!!!
This one makes me giggle...I just LOVE that she put glittery leaves with the Grim Reaper from Hauntingly Delightful...SERIOUSLY! It's TOO cute!!! So much fun, perfect papers, perfect sparkle, perfect composition...just PERFECT!!
And this one using the new Toadally Awesome set makes me happy sigh.....so simple, yet executed BRILLIANTLY!!! I wish I could make cards like this and be happy when they are done, but I have to force them out of me like a bad spirit, lol. Her coloring, perfectly placed jewels, and the white on white layering....so amazing.
Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you take some time to run past Debby's blog!! Tell her we said hi, and gather some inspiration while you are there!

Stampbook Saturday - Kelly
Hi! It's Kelly here with another Stampbook Saturday post for you, today spotlighting my fourth daughter's first birthday page. My whole reason for getting There She Goes When I Grow Up, aside from how adorable the whole set it, was to create this page! It is so perfect for this age.
Since Aileen is my fourth daughter, her scrapbook is not quite caught up to her age. She's three now and I just finished her first Christmas and her first birthday pages. I already finished the first five years for my first two daughters but then got into stamping cards and stopped scrapbooking. Now I am taking the time to work on their books, adding stamped images to their pages for an even better look. It really adds so much to the layout and page and makes carrying a theme throughout the page so much easier.
My photo is not the best - if anyone has tips on taking photos of 12x12 layouts I would appreciate it!! Add to that the fact that I have no power or lights at my house due to Hurricane Sandy. I added an image of the girl wearing the big shoes, which I colored with copics. Next to that is the coordinating sentiment. I also added a outline image of the little girl trying on the shoes on the other side.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you will try a bit of stampbooking yourself! Have a great weekend!

ABC Friday - Holiday Honeycomb Ornament
Hi! It's Kelly here with a great new use for those Just For You dies that were just released last month - a honeycomb style ornament made simply by using die cuts from the JFY die!
I have seen this done before and there are plenty of tutorials on the blogs out there, but most of the time an ornament die is used. I figured any symmetrical die would work and it sure did!

Each die cut has to be folded and glued and then the whole stack of 20 had to be glued together. I loosely followed a tutorial by Becca at Splitcoast Stampers. I had to work a bit to decide where to place the glue dots. I finished the ornament off with a simple greeting from the Seasons Greetings set, tied on with bakers twine. A bow around the red ribbon wrapped this project up! So easy, and a great little gift for the holiday trim-a-tree parties.
Thanks for stopping by today!!

Trendsetter Spotlight on Kelly!!
This week's Trendsetter of the week is Kelly Collins!! Kelly is new to the Trendsetters this term, and we were thrilled when she said yes! Kelly was SUCH a great customer, and was always playing along in our weekly challenges, and everything else, that we really wanted to see what she could do as a Trendsetter!
I chose three of her most recent cards, so I hope you like them!!
Her first card uses the new Toadally Awesome set from There She Goes, which I LOVE LOVE LOVE! Great colors and layout, and her coloring is so fun@
Her second, and super adorable card was made with the Wrapped in Joy set....it's so cute! Love this sketch, and her fun papers, too!
Her final card uses the Flowers of Happiness set, and I just LOVE all the layers on the flower...gorgeous!!
Well, that is it for me for now! Be sure to head past Kelly's blog and say hi!
