Love Always Layout

It's me again! Vera. :) Today I am back to share a layout. Sigh... my first love in paper crafting. Scrapbooking.

I have always love to organize my pictures ever since I was in high school and then found out that I can combine my love of pictures with cute stuff it totally caught my attention and still do. I still scrapbook when I can and even though I love card making,  there's a different joy in scrapbooking. I guess because I feel like I am working with something that so much more personal.

Anyway, enough rambling, here's my layout.

This wasn't an easy layout for me. Over 8 years ago, I lost my puppy, Milo and to this day I still couldn't forgive myself for losing him. I wonder all the time what happened to him and my heart ache every time I think of him. And, even though I have another puppy now, I still think of Milo. I believe every dog you ever own  have a special place in your heart that no other dog can replace.

I keep the layout simple as I really want the pictures and the journaling to be the focus. At first, I want to use the puppy from Puppy Love, but after playing around with the layout, I found that the puppy from "Follow Your Bliss" works better with this layout. I stamped the puppy on top of the sentiment die-cut and color it with copic. And added the hearts from "The Doxie with Moxie".

I am glad that I wrote down my feeling. This is the first time I scrapbook of Milo since I lost him and it's part of the healing process.

I hope you're enjoying your weekend and I really appreciate you stopping by here.

ABC Friday - Pillow Box

Hi everyone. Vera here today with a non-card project. When it comes to give gift card or tiny gift I like to make fun packaging for them. One of my go to packaging is the pillow box.

If you have die-cut machine, you can make the pillow box in no time. If you don't have one you can find many template for pillow box on the internet.

Here's my pillow box decorated with the cute critters from Poultry In Motion set.

The yellow mesh wrap came from fruit wrap. I find it fun to figure a way to re-purpose or recycling items from around the house on my projects. This time the fruit wrap works perfectly to enhance the farm look.

Thanks so much for stopping by here today and enjoy your Friday. I'll be back tomorrow with a layout. :)

Wednesday Trend: Feather Trend

Hi everyone, Vera here! I am delighted to be here today to share my first review on trend. Thinking about trend the fist thing that come to mind is feather!!

I've been a fan of feather for a while. In fact, last year I had an aqua color feather tucked in my hair courtesy of my stylish niece. Nowadays, you can see feathers everywhere. From jewelry to home decor to crafting.

Let me share with you some feathers projects. First up is this feather print. I love the simplicity and rustic look of this beautiful print. Simple designs that showcase feather beauty perfectly.

Then look at this gorgeous felt feathers. These colors make my heart beat faster. :)

And here's another print that has the CAS look that I simply adore. Plenty of white space make the color strips stands out.

I think  that's why feather become such a trend. There's just something interesting about them with its simplicity and delicate look that seem to inspire creativity.

Here's a couple of my cards showcasing the feather trend. First up is a CAS & cute card using my favorite gnome from My Little Friend set. I cut the feather using Silhouette. They are my favorite die cut.

Next is a more subtle look using feather I got from craft store. The white soft feather helped create the soft look.

So, what do you think of the feather trends? Have you try to use them on your project?

Hope today's post inspire your creativity. Have a fabulous day!
