Stampbook Saturday: Splash of Color
Hello everyone! It’s Danielle, and I’m back with a bit of scrapbooking today. It has been so long since I’ve done any scrapping so I thought I would try something simpler and make a page using one of the Project Life pages. Well, I got the pictures printed and the first two 4” x 6” panels finished. This is going to take me a while… ;)
While visiting the family a couple weekends ago for my niece’s high school graduation I took part in a 5K Splash of Color run/walk (yeah… we walked, but it is still 5K). It was overcast and messy but tons of fun and we have the t-shirts to prove it. Ha ha.
For my little pages I used some Fancy Pants designer paper and two There She Goes stamp sets: In Stitches and Oh Snap!.
I normally use a ton of foam dimensional tape but I didn’t on these pages so that they wouldn’t be so bulky. I did add some stitching, washi tape and pearls. My faves. :)
Hope you are inspired to get out your pictures and do a bit of stamping and scrapbooking. Maybe when I finish the other 2/3rds of the page I will share it… heh heh heh.

ABC Friday–Poultry in Motion Tags
Hi all – it is Danielle again and I have a fun non-card project to share today. I’m a fan of making tags so you know I just had to make a set. I dug through my stamps and pulled out the Poultry in Motion set as well as the In Stitches set for a bit of background stamping.
These are big tags but they are still perfect for the little rooster and itty bitty chick. The tags only differ by the sentiment.
Images were stamped in Memento Espresso Truffle and colored with Copic markers. The rooster was stamped on white cardstock, cut out and popped over the main image panel with foam dimensional tape.
I used some fun textures on this card: paper cording, washi tape, red twill ribbon, corrugated cardboard and some pearls.
Hope you enjoyed the tags. Have a great Friday! :)

Wednesday Trends–A Little Stenciling
Hi all – It is Danielle here and I’m popping in to share how I used stenciling to create a custom background on this card (caution – lots and lots of bright pink on this one):
I started by picking out a stencil (Lattice 6”x6” by Prima), ink and cardstock. For this card I wanted a neutral look so I chose white pigment ink and Kraft cardstock.
To prepare I cut the cardstock to size and then tacked it in place on a craft mat using a bit of adhesive tape applied to the back of the cardstock (the craft mat is non-stick so it will peel off when I’m done). I then used some Re-positional Scotch Tape to hold the stencil in place.
Once the cardstock and stencil were secured I used a Sponge Dauber to apply the ink using a circular motion. Easy peasy.
Once finished, I just pealed the stencil off. Because I used a pigment ink that takes longer to dry and I lack patience I heat set the ink using a Heat Tool.
And for a more mixed media look I spritzed the stenciled background with Funky Fuschia Dylusions Ink Spray (from Ranger). I blotted the excess ink with a paper towel and let dry.
I then used the stenciled cardstock to create a fun (very pink) card using the Chalkboard Memories stamp set. :)
Hope you enjoyed my quick tutorial. Have a great day!
- Danielle
