Stampbook Saturday- Jessica

Welcome to Stampbook Saturday! I am up this week to share a page with you, which is a good thing because I've got some major catching up to do!

What is a Stampbook Page? A Stampbook Page is a scrapbook page created using stamps and inspired by a card. Each week I create a new Stampbook Page to give you ideas on how to use your stamps in a new way and hopefully inspire you to catch up on those family photos that you've been meaning to scrapbook ;)

The Stampbook Page I made today was inspired by a card I made for last month's sneak peek of the new stamp set Craftier Taglines. I love the sentiments that come with this set, they make me giggle every time! I have yet to add the pictures to this page but I have some great ones of my oldest daughter who is forever crafting at her own little desk in the craft room. She is just like her mama and loves anything crafty. She gets so excited when I give her the DP scraps from projects lol!

Card/Stampbook Page Recipe:
Stamps-Craftier Taglines
Paper- Sage Shadow, Black, Very Vanilla, DP by DCWV
Ink- Momento Tuxedo Black, various SU colors for coloring
Accessories- Blender Pen, Dimensionals, Nestabilities, Ribbon

Dollar Find Friday!

(Clicking on the image will take you right to the chat!)

It's Friday and that means cheap gifts .... LOL ... but really today should be called 'Made with Love Friday' because it doesn't really matter on how much you spend, it is how good it makes you feel after finishing your project and knowing it is going to someone you love! I picked up a few of these shoe boxes from Michaels and intended to use them for storage. Well after moving my craft space, I don't have as much room so had to down size so I had a few extra boxes. So I thought why not make some homemade Christmas 'wrapping' for some of my gifts.

I used SU designer paper and Basic Grey cardstock and covered the entire box. Then I cut out a bunch of images from Penguin Love on white cardstock, coloured them up a little and then did some on the same designer paper for the tree's and Santa's bag full of toys. Added a little Riding Hood Red ribbon around the top as it needed something there. Then I had some grey Thickers and added the sentiment to the top! I had to go with Xmas as I didn't have enough letters for 'Christmas'! Viola, a gift box! Now what to put in it???

Have a great weekend Everyone!

One project that stood out to me in particular was this great tag set made by Vicki. These rich colors look so great together and I love all of the beautiful ribbon that was used! If you look closely you can see that all four of the tags are unique while still maintaining the same 'feel'. These gorgeous tags are sure to dress up any gift!!

Wednesday Trends - Paper Piecing

Happy Hump Day! It's me Wendy and it is Wednesday Trend day! One of my favorite things to do on a card is paper piecing and I am sure I have done it on almost every card I made lately. I just love the texture, depth, the way it can pop and how it adds to a card. If my scissors can work their magic, then it is getting cut out! Today I used the Fairy Good Day set and I pieced the mushrooms, the butterflies, her dress and wings, even her cute little shoes!

I used Basic Grey designer paper today as I thought the flower in the background made it look a little like she was in a garden. Then I pop dotted everything I had cut out and added a little sewing and viola...cuteness! I hope you try it if you have never as it is a must on my cards! Have a great day!
