Stampbook Saturday- Jessica

Hello everyone! Jessica here with a Stampbook Page that I created a few weeks ago inspired by this card that I had recently made.

What is a Stampbook Page? A stampbook page is a scrapbook page created using stamps and inspired by a card. Each week we create a new stampbook page to give you ideas on how to use your stamps in a new way and hopefully inspire you to catch up on those family photos you've been meaning to scrapbook.

For this project I used the two stamp sets Dream A New Dream, In Stitches and Kindred Spirits.

Dollar Find Friday- Jessica

Join us tonight right here in the TSG forum for the Friday Night Chat!

What is Dollar Find Friday? Every Friday the featured Trendsetter will share a project with you that was created using an item that costs $1 or less. Everyone loves a good bargain...now we will show you some ideas on how to actually use those great finds!

Happy Friday everyone, Jessica here with a fun Dollar Find Friday project that you will cherish for years! I picked up the chipboard album at Michaels for a $1 and had so much fun putting it together. I created a '10 things I love about you' themed album using a variety of stamp sets, papers and embellishments that were already in my stash.

Supplies
Album cover
I used the stamp set A-Z & 1,2,3 to stamp the word 'things' as well as for creating the custom 'YOU' embellishments.
 Matt's Page
I used the very fitting Dadisms stamp set to create embellishments for this page. All images were stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black and colored with Prismacolor pencils.
Kylie's Page
I had to use her favorite TSG stamp set Spread Your Wings :)
 Chloe's Page
This stamp set totally fits Chloe's personality! Her laugh is so contagious and her adorable smile always lights up the room. She is like our own little Flower Of Happiness :)
Kayla's Page
This girl is definitely the baby of the family! She can go from attitude filled diva to my sweet little cuddle bunny in two seconds flat lol! She totally must have been a cat in a previous life ;) I used the set Cattitude for her page.

Trendsetting Spotlight on Cassie!

Hey everyone! It's time for the Trendsetting Spotlight! Each Thursday we feature a card made by someone who has participated in the previous week's TSG Challenge. Would you like to be in the Trendsetting Spotlight?? Join in the fun by participating in our weekly challenges posted every Monday!

It is with great pleasure that we bring you this week's featured stamper, Cassie Trask!
I loved this gorgeous card that she created for Angela's challenge using the Aim For the Clouds stamp set:
And here are a few more creations I spied on her blog...aptly named....
Such a great layout and sweet card for any friend. I just {heart} this one using images from Puppy Love:
Here is a perfect use of patterns to compliment the gorgeous images from Bee Happy:
I asked Cassie a few questions and here are her answers....you've got to read them 'cuz they are FUNNY!
1. How long have you been stamping and how did you get introduced to the craft?

I've been seriously stamping for 8 years now after having my youngest.  I really just needed something that was all mine, and stamping was it!  My mother introduced me to stamping when I was 11.  Every Christmas from that point until we moved out we would make our own Christmas tags for the presents.  We didn't own a heat gun, so we would emboss things over our electric stove.  It was so much fun to do that with my mom and sister, and is now such a fun memory.  She should, and does, take all the credit for me starting up this wonderful hobby.

2. What is your "go to" embellishment?

I tend to think of myself as a bit more of a CAS gal, because I like quick cards.  I tend not to spend more than 30 minutes at most on a card, and 30 minutes is A LOT of time for me, so my go-to embellishment is the brad.  It's quick, it's easy, and still makes a card easy to send in the mail, haha!

3. Favorite new craft tool?

Don't laugh, but it's actually my Scotch Tape Gun.  It was a pricey investment at first, but sooo worth the money.  I go through less adhesive and it's actually ended up being cheaper in the long run.  I love that thing. . .even thought about giving him a name, lol.

4. Bio: family, work, fun?

I've been married to Jim, the love of my life, for 11 years, and he's in the Army.  We currently live in Columbus, GA, where I homeschool our two kids, Michael and Matti, who are 10 & 9.  I'm a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.  Baseball and softball seem to be our 'fun' things since the kids are heavily involved in those sports.  Of course, paper crafting is my 'Calgon' during the crazy times.  Thank you paper crafting. . .take me away. . .

Thank you Cassie for being a loyal follower and faithful challenge participant! Congrats on being in the Spotlight this week!

Trendsetter Tuesday - Holly!

Hey everyone! Today I have the privilege of introducing Holly McMillen as the Trendsetter of the Week!!

Holly, aka Toy, is a TSG Senior Trendsetter and our Blog Coordinator.  A Splitcoaststampers (SCS) Dirty Dozen Alum, Holly is all over the blogging world with her fabulous creations and techniques galore.  Here are a few beauties I spied on her blog:

This gorgeous card highlights the window with Liquid Glass.  Holly is masterful with the images from Art is the Window. I actually want to grab a piece of that pie!

Holly used Copics to make the Loads of Fun clothes of this gorgeous card stand out with polka dots and stripes added with her Colorless Blender Pen.
This stunner shows off Holly's coloring skills and use of perfect embellishments. She made this card for the Believe in You Blog Hop.
And for the grand finale, look at this beautiful box! Holly loves 3D projects and used the sophisticated butterfly stamp set, Spread Your Wings.

Holly has been so kind and inspirational to me as I've begun blogging and designing this past year.  She is one of the most generous people and truly a beautiful soul! PLEASE leave her a comment wishing her well as she tackles some personal issues.  I'm sure she'd love to hear from all of her friends and fans. :-D
