Not only to you get to see gorgeous projects made using TSG stamps, but you also have a chance to WIN one of these cards! Leave a comment on this post and tomorrow (Monday) I will choose a winner using a random number generator. Stampbook Saturday - Julie

I just wanted to give you all a heads up that the TSG Website will be down for awhile today and possibly tomorrow as it undergoes some maintenance. Thank you for your patience!

Welcome to Stampbook Saturday! One of the first things I thought of when I saw the Aim For the Clouds set is that it would make for a great encouraging stampbook page. I couldn't resist this photo of my toothless 6 year old. It reminded me that these kiddos just grow up way too fast! The hot air balloons and the sentiment were exactly what I had in mind.

I used my cards from last weeks Aim For the Clouds sneak peak. You can see them here . I paper pierced them just as I did on the cards. The sentiment was a last minute addition and I'm so glad I popped it in there!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!

Dollar Find Friday by Maki

If you are participating in this week's ATC Challenge and have already added your link to the Mr. Linky, please go back to this post and add it again! We had a little glitch and the Mr. Linky disappeared but it is back now :)

It's Friday which means that it's time again for the Friday Night Chat! We love meeting new people and I hope that you will stop by to say hello. The official chat doesn't start until 7:00 PM Pacific time but feel free to stop in here at any time during the day to say hello :)

Check out Maki's great DFF project!

Happy Friday everyone~ It's Maki again and it's my turn to show the Dollar Find Friday project!
I made the wall hanging with the chipboad album that was sold at Micheal's $1 isle :)

Here is the supplies:
$1 chipboard album - found at Michael's
Acrylic paint
designer papers / cardstock
stamps /inks
ribbon/embellishements

Open one more hole on the chipboards with hole punch (Crop-A -Dile is prefered) and paint the chipboards with acrylic paint using the foam brush. (I used black). They probably need a couple coating.

note: don't open the hole on the chipboard that is going to be the bottom panel.

After the paints are completely dried, sponge the ink and stamp around the edge.

For mine, I used Flourish set and SU very vanilla.

Use the designer papers and the words you like and decorate the chipboard.
I cut the scalloped circle panels with Nestabilities and cut the word "DREAM" with Cricut machine.

After decorating the each chipboard, connect them with ribbon.
I used the butterfly images from Spread Your Wings set and colored the images with Copic markers.

The ribbon was secured on the back with craft glue dots.

Well, I hope you like it??

Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!

Trendsetting Spotlight- Kim Y

It's time for the Trendsetting Spotlight! Each Thursday we feature a card made by someone who has participated in the previous week's TSG Challenge. Would you like to be in the Trendsetting Spotlight?? Join in the fun by participating in our weekly challenges posted every Monday!

I love this card that Kim Y. made for last week's TSG sketch challenge! I thought that the heart shape element she used for the main image panel was a unique touch and the images are colored beautifully. Everything is put together so beautifully and isn't that ribbon/button embellishment so pretty?

Great job on the sketch challenge Kim! I hope that you all will check out this week's ATC challenge!!

Wednesday Trends -- Buttons

If you are participating in this week's ATC Challenge and have already added your link to the Mr. Linky, please go back to this post and add it again! We had a little glitch and the Mr. Linky disappeared but it is back now :)

Hello everyone~ It's Maki. Welcome to my Wednesday Trends!! As you see the post title, my trend right now is using buttons. I hate to admit... but I love hoarding stuff. Besides the pretty designer papers, I have a hard time to let go my button collection :p However, I finally started using those wonderful embellishments on my cards/projects and you know what?? They are much prettier than being in my drawers, lol.

The next 3 ways are my favorite ways to do with buttons.

1. Use a button with ribbon.
I probably use this method most when I used buttons. I've seen people doing this way to embellish thier cards and they looked so cute and I started using buttons more and more. Ribbons are one of my favorite embellishments all time. I think the button in the middle of the bow the card above makes the card cuter and more prettier! Plus, I need only one button to start with ;)

2. Use buttons as a part of the image.
Most of my buttons are the circle shape and they are great to use for balloons, center of flowers, wheels, peas in a pod, cherries and most of any circle objects!! I used the buttons as the balloon images for this card. They can add more drama and fun to the card/project for sure!

I also love to use the buttons as a letter "O"! You can mix with other letters and make a word...for example "JOY", "BOY", "ONE", "LOVE","YOU","MOM", "SON"and so on...

3. Use buttons for borders and frames

If you have many buttons and don't know what to do....use as a border and frame!! I recommend to use heavy cardstock or layer cardstocks because buttons get sometimes too heavy and the flimsy cardstock won't hold the buttons well.

OK, that's my Trends! If you have more wonderful idea using buttons, let me know. I have tons to consume, lol.

TSG40- Artist Trading Card

Our challenge this week is brought to you by our Trendsetter of the week Maki! She is challenging us to create an ATC. ATC stands for Artist Trading Card and they are like mini card fronts. The dimensions for these cute little cards are 2.5” x 3.5”. ATCs are so much fun to make and can either be used on full sized cards or stored in baseball card protectors. I have mine stored this way in binders and I love going through and looking at them!

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create an ATC, then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the Mr. Linky that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Feb. 8th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. I will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG40 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Need some inspiration to get you started? Check out these great ATC's made by the following Trendsetters!
