Stampbook Saturday - Julie

What is a Stampbook Page? A Stampbook Page is a scrapbook page created using stamps and inspired by a card. Each week I create a new Stampbook Page to give you ideas on how to use your stamps in a new way and hopefully inspire you to catch up on those family photos that you've been meaning to scrapbook ;)

This week I used my sketch challenge card as inspiration for my stampbook page. I changed up the stamps and replaced my main image on the card with a picture on the stampbook page. Keeping the layout the same for both pieces made this one so easy to put together...getting the title right is a whole other story! :)

On the card I used the lovely Treemendous set and on the page I used the Branching Out set. I love that tree! It is such an easy, cute embellishment for a scrapbook pagebecause it's so easy to stamp, cut out and pop up on a page.
That's all I've got for you today! I hope you enjoyed this weeks stampbook page.

Stampbook Page Recipe:
Stamps ~ Treemendous and Branching Out
Paper- American Crafts Letterbox, white, chocolate
Ink- palette burnt umber, spring moss, blush
Accessories- American Crafts flair, thickers, small letters, felt flower, su brad, paper piercer

Dollar Find Friday

Tonight is the Friday Night Chat over at the TSG Forum. The official chat starts at 7:00 PM Pacific Time (10 PM Eastern) but feel free to stop in at any time during the day to say hello :) You need to be a registered member of the forum to be able to view/post so make sure you take a couple of minutes to do that first. Enjoy Jackie's great DFF project and I will 'see' you all tonight!!
*****************************
Hi there! It's Jackie here again bringing you Dollar Find Friday! While shopping at Michael's not too long ago, I was looking through the dollar bins and found this magnet. I thought it would be perfect for my Dollar Find Friday post, so I purchased one for a BUCK! That's it! Love it!
I first sanded the top of the letter as it was a little smooth and I wanted the cardstock to stick securely. After a little stamping, cutting and pasting, here is the finished product! Isn't it cute?

I used the new set from There She Goes called Penguin Love! I really adore this set! I stamped Santa Penguin in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on and colored him with Copic markers. He was framed with Circle Nestabilities. The DP is Jolly by Golly by Cosmo Cricket. The tag was cut out with Spellbinders Tag Trio Dies and the ribbon is from my stash! I'm going to use this to hang my girls' Christmas Lists on the fridge! They'll really get a kick out of it!

Don't forget to join us in the There She Goes Forum tonight for the Friday Night Chat!

Trendsetting Spotlight- Heather J.

Welcome to this week's Trendsetting Spotlight. Each Thursday we feature a card made by someone who has participated in the previous week's TSG Challenge. Would you like to be in the Trendsetting Spotlight?? Join in the fun by participating in our weekly challenges posted every Monday!
Last week the challenge was to create a card that features chipboard. I enjoyed looking at all of the challenge cards and loved to see how you used your chipboard! One card in particular caught my eye with it's fun layout and rich colors. Heather J. stamped images from Act Of Kindness on her chipboard to use as a focal point on this great card. I thought that the cut out leaves were a great touch, that little bit of white really makes them pop. And did you see her stitched hand stamped designer paper?? How pretty is that???
Thanks for sharing your beautiful card with us Heather and thank you to everyone that played along in our challenge this week! I can't wait to see what you guys have in store for this week's In Stitches challenge. Who knows, maybe you will be in the Trendsetting Spotlight next week!!

Wednesday Trends ~ Stitching

Hi there! It's Jackie and I'm here to host today's Wednesday Trends! One of my very favorite trends in cardmaking is stitching! I started off faux stitching, using a piercing tool and a marker, because I had never sewn a day in my life, but after seeing so many people using actual sewing machines on their cards I got the itch to buy one for myself! I bought a Janome Sew Mini with some Christmas money last year and have never looked back! Now I think I sew on just about every card I make!

For this card I started with this week's Mojo Monday sketch, Mojo 113. I stamped two of the flowers from Polka Dot Blooms in Raspberry Fizz (Papertrey) and Old Olive (SU!). The image was cut out with the Curved Rectangle Nestabilities. I added two adhesive pearls to the centers of the blooms. The sentiment is from another TSG set, Bloom, and was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut out with Circle Nestabilities. The Kraft panel behind the main image was embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder using my Cuttlebug. I love this clean and fresh color combo...Kraft, Raspberry Fizz and White. Whether you faux stitch or actually machine stitch, it's the perfect finishing touch on a card!

Stamps: Polka Dot Blooms & Bloom (There She Goes)
Paper: Kraft, Raspberry Fizz, White, Polka Dot Basics & In Bloom DP (All Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Raspberry Fizz (PTI), Old Olive (SU!), Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories & Tools: Curved Rectangle & Circle Nestabilities, Raspberry Fizz Satin Ribbon, Adhesive Pearls, Swiss Dots embossing folder, Sewing Machine, Dimensionals

Trendsetter Tuesday- Jackie

It's Tuesday which means that it's time to introduce our Trendsetter of the week which is the fabulous Jackie! Jackie is a master of designer paper, stitching on cards, and versatility. She can rock any style of stamp, just check out her blog! Lucky for us, she's giving us the scoop on her Trendsetting ways :)

TSG29- In Stitches

This week our challenge is brought to you by our Trendsetter of the week- Jackie! She has a great challenge for us that I know you are going to love, it’s all about stitching! You can either use real stitching from a sewing machine or you can create faux stitching. A couple ways to do this is by drawing stitches with a marker or white gel pen or you can paper pierce holes then draw lines connecting them with a gel pen. Have fun and I want to see you all in stitches!

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card/layout featuring some form of stitching (real or faux) and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the Mr. Linky that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Nov. 23rd). The winner will receive a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

You do not need to have a blog to be to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG29 so we can check out your beautiful work! TSG stamps are encouraged but not required to play along in the challenges :)

If you need some inspiration to get you started on this challenge, check out the following Trendsetter's projects!
