Dollar Find Friday and Friday Night Chat

It's Friday which means that it's time again for the Friday Night Chat! We love meeting new people and I hope that you will stop by to say hello. The official chat doesn't start until 7:00 PM Pacific time but feel free to stop in at any time during the day to say hello :)

Check out Jessie's great DFF project!

Hey everyone!! It's me, Jessie, and I am back with this week's Dollar Find Friday post. As you all know, I am NOT a fan of altering....well, you may not all know that, but now you do, so for my project, I try to find stuff that isn't too challenging....so I don't scare myself, LOL.

For this week's project, I decided to make a shadow box wall hanging. I picked up the frame at the Dollar Tree for, you guessed it, a dollar! I started by stamping several images from the Loads of Fun set, coloring them with my Copics, and then cutting them out. I then stamped several of the clothespins and colored and cut them out as well. Crazy right? Then, I used glue dots to attach them to my "clothesline", which is hemp twine from SU. I then used more glue dots to attach the line to the insides of the frame.

My background was made by attaching a piece of Slumber Party DSP from SU to the back of the frame. I stamped my sentiment on it before attaching it, and added some socks as a little extra something.

Pretty simple, but I LOVE it...and I can't wait to hang it on my wall, if I ever get my own place!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Hope to see you tonight at the Friday Night Chat !!

  3. This is really cute! Would look great in a laundry room. My friend has a laundry room that I absolutely covet. It's an actual room with real walls and cabinets and a hanging rack. *sigh* You did a great job with your project!
