Hello Crafty Peeps! This is Danielle checking in with a Wednesday Trend! I've been noticing a lot of fun uses for felt lately and decided I had to dig through my stash of crafty stuff and use a bit of felt on a card. The only problem... I don't have that many colors! But I do have Copic markers and an air compressor. ;)

And to the project... a mountain scene with a blue sky made from felt!

Step 1: Cut your felt to size - I used a die from the Large Circle Nestabilities set. I did have to run it through my big shot a couple of times. Since I did not have a sky blue shade of felt I cut the circle from a piece of cream and then air brushed it with a couple of blue Copic markers (B21/B23).

Step 2: Stamp the mountain image from Aim for the Clouds a couple times on white cardstock and then die cut with the same circle die used to cut the felt. Then trim across the mountain tops. Color to taste - I used T1, T3 and T5 Copic markers. Also cut a slightly larger scalloped circle.

Step 3: Attach the layers together. I lightly tacked my felt to the scalloped layer and then affixed the mountain scene on top of the felt. For added permanency I then stitched the edges together using my sewing machine and heavy duty white thread. Just a note on sewing craft felt: it tends to stretch a bit as you sew, I had to readjust the felt every once in a while as I sewed around the circle.
Step 4: Finish decorating your card! I stamped one of the ballons for Aim for the Clouds, colored with Copic markers, trimmed and then adhered to the felt mountain scene using a super sticky glue dot. A bit of designer paper, ribbon and more sewing finished the card. :)
