Wednesday Trends - Copics and Memento Inks

Hey everyone! Today I am going to share a few charts with you that help me choose my Copic colors.  With so many beautiful line art stamp sets in the There She Goes store, Copics are a wonderful addition to any coloring arsenal.

There are so many wonderful women that share their coloring tips and tricks out there, that I don't have anything "new" to share on that front.  Instead I thought I would share my charts that compare inks and Copics.

The perfectionist in me won't allow for a mismatched color so I have acquired all of the current inks sold by Stampin' Up, Close to My Heart and Memento.  I also have all of the Copic Sketch markers except in the greys, where I have every other marker. (I will confess that I don't like that minor limitation, so I recently ordered the rest, as I do use all of the greys frequently.  Perhaps I will touch on that next time. :D )

These two charts show you HOW I match each ink to it's corresponding Copic.
These are the matches for the Memento Inks.  I stamp each ink color with a solid image stamp.  Here I used the adorable owl from You're A Hoot

Mementos are the best inks I've found to use with the Copics.  Memento Ink dries quickly and does not bleed when the Copic ink touches them.  Hope this helps you with a way to match inks and Copics!

  1. This is a great idea. It not only matches the Momentos, but the Copics to each other! So many times I have to use scrap paper to check the shades...can you post a version of these charts that is printable! lol!
