Hi Everyone! It's Sandra here with another Stampbook Saturday inspiration page for you!
I have held onto this photo of my Grandpa and I ever since I moved to the US, over ten years ago. Hands down, it's my absolute FAVORITE childhood photo! I love it because it's obvious how much we adored each other and how much of a tomboy I was with my face covered in all that dirt! But for the last 10 years it's been sitting in a photo album that never gets opened. So I decided today was the day to pull it out and make a stampbook page with it!
To make this page I used a few TSG sets. Can you guess which ones?? LOL! I used Torico's In Stitches and Day or Night sets for the borders and the popped up hearts. The sentiment on the photo was from Julie's Sentimental set. If the layout looks familiar, it's because I borrowed it from this week's MOJO178 sketch.
These days, when I do get around to creating scrapbook pages, I like to experiment with things, so when I saw Torico's card below a couple of weeks ago, I fell in love with the simple, muted colors on the kraft cardstock background and wanted to create something similar.
Isn't it gorgeous?!! I love, love, LOVED the simplicity of it and yet it's so striking! And can you believe there are no layers to this card?! Crazy! Her work makes me drool!
I hope my 'experimenting' has inspired you to try something different today! Enjoy your Saturday!
I know that kind of love, and you and I are very lucky to have had grandprents. My husband has never had any , but he is a wonderful pop pop to 7 gret grandkids. Your layout is just great !!
