Hello, Donkeys! (Remember, that is a term of endearment in my book!)
Kim here with a easy little project for you for this week's "Anything But a Card" post.
With the start of spring being only a couple of weeks away, I've got Easter on the brain. Now, I am a not a big pastel kind of person so don't expect your traditional Easter colors from me. I had this pretty little checked ribbon that has been calling my name so that ribbon dictated my color choices for this project.
I like to make a seasonal center piece for my kitchen table so I bought a flameless candle. Yep, it's battery operated so I don't have to worry about my pretty little ribbon going up in flames. Oh, the horror! I suppose I should show it to you now and THEN I will tell you what I did.
I stamped a 3" x11" strip of PTI summer sunrise with the leaf stamp from the Dance mini stamp set in VersaMark ink and adhered it around the candle. I colored that cute little bunny from the Hunny Bunnies stamp set with my copics and cut him out. I die cut the flower using one of the the Nestabilities Blossom Two dies from PTI raspberry fizz CS. I punched out a 1.75" circle of PTI summer sunrise CS and the then used a white gel pen to outline around the circle and to add a some white dots on the petals. I popped the bunny up with foam dimensionals and then tied the tag on with some natural jute to that happy checked ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel. Some jelly beans around the base of the candle completes the look!
With my 40% coupon at A.C. Moore, this project cost me less than $8..........though I think I will be spending more money on jelly beans because my kids can't seem to keep their paws away from them.
Happy Friday! Let the weekend begin!
