Wednesday Trends- Banners

Hi everyone! Its Wendy P with today's Wednesday trend and today we're playing with banners!

To create the banner background, I used the triangle stamp from the Scootin By Accesories. I stamped a banner on scrap paper and used an exacto knife to cut it out. This stencil allowed me to fill the banners with stamped images without stamping on the rest of the card. The lines came from the Journal Lines stamp set. All that was left to do was add some lines and bows with a black marker.

Supplies Used: There She Goes (Scootin By, Journal Lines, Phyllis, Chalkboard Memories), Copics, glitter

Banners aren't just for cards and layouts. I had a blast using the new Shiver Me Timbers stamp set to create this decorative banner perfect for a pirate theme party!

Aren't these guys cute? The skull image can be used to create adorable custom skull pattern paper.

Supplies Used: There She Goes (Shiver Me Timbers), Clear Scraps (Small Banners), Copics, May Arts Ribbon

Banners may have been around for a few years now, but I'm sure they'll be hanging around for a few more years. They are a fun way to add the perfect touch to that project!

  1. What a wonderful post! These cute little banners are so adorable. I love the colorful designs. I find all of these very nice and attractive. I think these ideas inspire me to make some for my daughter's birthday next month. Great banners indeed make great events. These add life and good vibes to whatever event there is, especially birthdays and graduations. Thanks for sharing this cool article!
