Now for my Dollar Find Friday project!

What is Dollar Find Friday? Every Friday the featured Trendsetter will share a project with you that was created using an item that costs $1 or less. Everyone loves a good bargain...now we will show you some ideas on how to actually use those great finds!

I found this picture frame at a local scrapbook store for almost nothing. I decided that I would decorate it with some patterned paper and some stamped images and give it to my mother for Mother’s Day. I really like how it turned out. It is a pic of my mom and my son. The sentiment is from the What’s Up Buttercup? set and the flowers are from the Dance set. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for joining me. I hope this will inspire you to make some projects for your family and friends also. I know I’ll make more.

Hugs,
Pam

~Trendsetting Spotlight on Tanja H~

It's time for the Trendsetting Spotlight! Each Thursday we feature a card made by someone who has participated in the previous week's TSG Challenge. Would you like to be in the Trendsetting Spotlight?? Join in the fun by participating in our weekly challenges posted every Monday!

Good morning, Frien
ds!

Are you all getting excited for the upcoming Mother of All Blog Hops?! It's on
ly two days away!!

Today we're turning our trendsetting spotlight on Tanja Hartmann. Tanja caught my eye with this amazing little card made with Loads of Fun.

In an e-mail exchange with Tanja, I found out In an e-mail exchthat she is a sweet German girl living here in Alabama. I'm thinking that was quite the culture shock! She was worried about her English, but I have to say, she is quite efficient in our language. I'm wondering if she's taken on a southern drawl :). Tanja's family has also lived in the South of France. She has two boys, one born in France and one born in Alabama. They are quite the international family!

Tanja was introduced to stamping in 2007 by a neighbor, but has been doing paper crafting for many years. It is just a natural fit! Her favorite tool is her Big Shot with nesties. She's also a Copic girl!

When she's not stamping, Tanja enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, all kinds of sports, and scuba diving! Family and friends are important to her as well.

Tanja, thank you so much for sharing your world with us. You can see more of Tanja's work on her blog, Love Paper and Stamps.

Hugs!

Wednesday Trends/TSG Tips & Tricks - Pam

What is Wednesday Trends / TSG Tips & Tricks? Every Wednesday the featured Trendsetter will either share a stamping trend that they love or will show you new ways to use their favorite TSG stamp sets!  I hope you are inspired by this tutorial, and that you will try it out for yourself!  :)

Hi, it’s Pam here. Today I am going to show you a technique I call “Out of the Box”. This technique has been done other ways but I am going to show you how I do it.

1. First, I take a stamped image and pick out a Nestie that I want to use to cut it out.

Out-of-the-Box-1

2. I have laid the Nestie on top of my image so that you can see that part of the image does not fit in the Nestie. That is the part that will be left out of the frame when I am done. I have made pencil marks on each side of the leaves where it sticks out. This is where I will cut.

 Out-of-the-Box-2

3. Next I cut on each side of the leaves a little bit past the Nestie edge. I do this to account for the rim on the inside of the Nestie. I then place the part I cut out on the OUTSIDE of the Nestie. This is very important because if you leave it on the INSIDE it will cut the leaves off.

Out-of-the-Box-3

4. Now cut your image out with your Cuttlebug/Sizzix, etc.  You can see from the pic that the leaves did not get cut as long as they are on the OUTSIDE of the frame.

 Out-of-the-Box-4

5. Here is the image completed after I have taken it out of the Nestie. Now it is ready to put on my card.

 Out-of-the-Box-5

Here is my completed card using the stamp set Dance.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and you find it helpful in your crafting. Thanks for joining me today and happy stamping.

Pam

Stampbook Saturday- Mercy

Happy Saturday, everyone!  It's Mercy, and I'm here with this week's Stampbook Saturday! The weekend is in full swing, but it is only hours away from a brand new work week. The older I get the more I realize just how quickly time flies, and how important it is to document every little thing while you have the chance. What better way to do this than to create stampbook pages?!?

What is a Stampbook Page? A Stampbook Page is a scrapbook page created using stamps and inspired by a card. Each week I create a new Stampbook Page to give you ideas on how to use your stamps in a new way and hopefully inspire you to catch up on those family photos that you've been meaning to scrapbook ;)

I decided to create an 8X8 stampbook page that coordinated with the card that I had created for this week's Wednesday Trends post using some of my other
TSG Stamps.   I used the same patterned paper packs and layout (for the most part).

The Card That Inspired My Layout (Circle Piercing Tutorial can be seen HERE):

My Stampbook Page:
This picture was taken by my sister-in-law at my niece's birthday party.  As usual, my fellas were hanging out in the kitchen!  LOL!  Can you tell that my boys are both hams while their daddy is a bit more camera shy? :)  As soon as I saw this picture one of the sentiments from the "Chemistry" set came to mind.  It states, "True love does not come by finding the perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly."  My guys are not perfect by any means...but my love for them is!

That's it for me!  Thanks for stopping by today, and have a wonderful weekend!
