Dollar Find Friday - Ornaments

Tonight is the Friday Night Chat over at the TSG Forum. The official chat starts here at 7:00 PM Pacific Time (10 PM Eastern) but feel free to stop in at any time during the day to say hello :) You need to be a registered member of the forum to be able to view/post so make sure you take a couple of minutes to do that first. Enjoy this great Dollar Find Friday project by Sandra and 'see' you all tonight!

It's Sandra here again and I have a fun DFF for you all! I'll show you a quick and easy way to create your own ornaments using ribbon, stamps and some sparkle! I found these translucent glass ornaments at a big box craft store for a few bucks. Use a coupon and they're yours for less than $1 each! They take no time at all and are perfect for gifts or for decorating your own tree!

Ingredients:
There She Goes 'Stick Together Mini Set'
Glass Ornaments
Ribbon
Tacky Tape
Versamark Ink
Embossing Powder (the glitter kind)
Heat Gun
5/8" Circle Punch
Glue Dots
Faux Snow (optional)
Popcorn (optioinal)

Directions:
Apply the tacky tape around the center of the ornament. Then adhere the ribbon to the tacky tape. Stamp the small snowflake from the Stick Together set (or any other image you prefer) with Versamark in onto some cardstock. Sprinkle some of the glitter embossing powder over the ink, shake off the excess and heat set it. Then punch out the snowflake and adhere it to the ribbon and center of the ornament. Repeat this 4 more times (or however many you prefer). Remove the decorative top of the ornament and fill it with faux snow or popcorn. Replace the decorative top. Tie a couple of bows around the top of the ornament and you're done! Eat remaining popcorn. :)

I made four of these and they look great on my tree! You could change up the shape of the ornaments, add more ribbon, create one, large stamped image for a focal point - the options are endless!

Have a fabulous weekend!
