Stampbook Saturday with Sandra

Hi everyone! I hope you're having an awesome weekend so far. It's my turn to host Stampbook Saturday and I'm so excited to be doing another scrapbook page again!  I make a ton of cards each month, but it's my scrapbook pages that my family cherishes the most!

The page I have to share with you all was inspired by this card done
by the UBER talented illustrator and designer - Melyssa Connolly!

Don't you just LOVE this card?! Besides the fact that it's Halloween themed (my favorite holiday!), it's also got a fabulous layout perfect for scraplifting!

And here's my page...

As soon as I laid eyes on the Tooth Fairy Approved set, I KNEW I was going to use it on a scrapbook page soon! I trolled through my digital archives (yes, it's called trolling when you have thousands upon thousands of photos on your computer!) to find this photo I took of my little girl after losing her first tooth a few years ago now.

I used Melyssa's main image panel as my photo and pieced together the background with some coordinating paper. I kept my page title where Melyssa used her sentiment, but I enlarged mine by using adhesive alphabet stickers. The "I love your toothless..." part of the title is from one of the sentiments in the Tooth Fairy Approved set. I just left off the 'grin' part! The logo stamp is also from the set, which I watercolored with my SU reinkers and added a little bit of glitter to the wings! In place of the frog image on Melyssa's card, I used one of the ADORABLE tooth fairies from the set. She's so sweet with those buns and tiara! She was also colored up with my SU reinkers, cut out and adhered to the page. Last, but not least, I added some baker's twine to the page, just like Melyssa used in her's. It's the perfect embellishment to finish off this page, don't you think?!

Here's a close up of the fairy:
Ppssst! I'll let you in on a not-so-secret secret: That wasn't the only tooth my little girl lost that week! Three days later, the washcloth I was using to clean her face got caught on her other loose front tooth and yanked that one right out of her mouth!! It's a good thing she was such a good sport about it, because I felt SO BAD! lol

That's it from me! I hope you enjoyed this little project and that it inspires you to pull out some old photos today and have yourself a STAMPBOOK SATURDAY!

Have a great weekend everyone!
