Hi again, it's Jackie and I hope you enjoyed the TSG Wednesday Trends post. Today is my turn to post a project made from a dollar find. While searching out my dollar find item I saw some little snack size storage containers. I thought they would make a cute little Halloween treat holder. Below are the supplies I gathered:
I prepared my project by stamping and cutting out all of the components. I cut out circles of black burlap, circles of patterned paper, grass, a sign and a pumpkin. I used the Bugs and Hisses stamp set by TSG. I wanted my sign to say Happy Halloween. So I snipped the word Happy from the stamp, Happy Haunting and Halloween from the stamp, Have a frightfully spooky Halloween. That's one of the best features of using clear stamps, you can cut them apart to use them in new ways!
I found that Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive worked best to glue the burlap to the plastic lid. The burlap has such a great texture!
I glued the patterned paper circle to the burlap and then glued the sign and grass. I popped up the pumpkin with Scotch Mounting Tape.
These where inexpensive to make and I'm sure would be enjoyed by a classroom of children for a Halloween party. They could also be tucked inside a lunchbox as a sweet little surprise or just given out as a Halloween treat.
These are adorable Jackie!
