Wednesday Trends - Holiday Gift Bag

Hello Everyone - Theresa here with this week's Wednesday Trends. With the holidays upon us and being in the Christmas spirit I have seen gift bags pop up everywhere. We all love to make cards to give to friends and loved ones...why not extend that to a gift bag. You can make them as clean and simple as you want or all the way to elegance. Nice thing is a plain gift bag is about 60 cents and the premade ones are about $4. I put together a quick tutorial to help you get started.

Here is a list of supplies you need:

  • Gift bag
  • Ribbon
  • Stamp Sets
  • Art Philosophy or your favorite shape cutting materials
  • Your favorite coloring medium
  • Cardstock and or Patterned Paper

Cut out your desired shapes and adhere to the front of the bag. For my bag I also cut a design for the top of the bag and wrapped it around the bag. You're probably wondering, "Why did she put the large square on before stamping?" I thought I would add some patterned paper and then my images, but I really liked the kraft paper I used...it started to look like a gingerbread house and I decided to keep it. I didn't have a problem stamping my sentiment or adhering my images.

For my bag I used the stamp sets - Seasons Greetings and Penguin Pals. I totally love this bag and how it came out. I'll be wrapping my gift to me in my bag! I had a great time putting this together and it took no more time then a card.

Well I'll be back on Friday with a great $$ Find. I hope you liked my project. Thanks for stopping by. Head on over to the store - get your last minute stamp sets!!
