Good morning everyone! It's Sandra here and it's my turn to host this week's Stampbook Saturday. So pull up a chair, grab yourself a cup of something warm to drink and get comfy!
I absolutely love playing with the stamps Torico designs, but I literally drool over her cards! They have such a simple elegance to them and her choice of papers is always spot on! So what better way to pay tribute to my idol than to CASE one of her cards!
I chose this one she made for one of the TSG's challenges late last year. I loved everything from the papers and the stitching to the simple die cut in the center.
So for my Stampbook page, I grabbed some fun scraps of designer paper, a paper punch and decorative scissors, a Spellbinders die, some baker's twine, a couple of buttons and a few stamp sets from TSG...and this photo of my little girl and her daddy playing in the snow!
I used kraft cardstock for the base and machine stitched the patterned papers to some brown cardstock. Then I cut the photo using a Spellbinders nestie and matted it to some more brown cardstock. The gloves are from the Warmest Wishes set and were stamped, then cut out with the coordinating die (that comes with the set!) and colored with Distress Ink reinkers. I stamped a few snowflakes from the Holly Jolly set onto the patterned papers with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The sentiment is from the Little Moments set and was stamped using some brown ink. The little heart is from the Warmest Wishes set.
The page is an 8"x8", which I'm really loving right now! It's not too big and not to small!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous day and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
I'm soooooo glad you picked up my card for your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThe photo you used on this page warmed my heart up, and the glove image is perfect choice for the photo. Great work, Sandra!
