Hi Trendy Stampers!
Holly here. Because of yesterday's amazing hop, I am bringing you Wednesday Trends a day late!
A few months back, Theresa Winslow brought a new technique to my attention. I'm not sure if it has an official name, but I call it NO LINE coloring.
Here is what I did with is...
The technique is very effective, but does take some practice. First thing I did was stamp my image in a very pale blush ink. I stamped it again on a piece of acetate (in black ink), so I would have a guide to show me where I needed shading.
Here is a side by side comparison:
As you can see, the image (upper left) stamped in blush is almost invisible. I stamped it again (upper right) to show the difference in the coloring.
You can see the softness that the NO LINE achieves. Shading is really important with this technique, so I suggest you play with a few images to perfect your style.
Here's my completed card:
My details:
Stamps: Freeze the Moment
Papers: GP White, My Mind’s Eye dp
Ink: Blush Blossom, Chocolate Chip, copics
Accessories: swiss dots embossing folder, pink 1/2 pearls
Now it's your turn! Give it a go!
