This week's Trendsetter of the Week is none other than coloring GODDESS Kim Teasdale. She TRULY is an amazing artist, from stamped creations, stamp illustrations, and blog design...she really has a gift. On top of that, she is a FABULOUS person, and a dear friend....I love her to pieces!! I have had the pleasure of actually meeting and spending some time with Kim, and she is awesome on every level....funny, smart, generous, kind, and so so so TALENTED!
I know I say this every time I feature one of our team members, but we truly do have some amazing ladies on this team...it is SO HARD to pick three cards!! I went through about 5 pages on Kim's blog, and had pretty much every card she had posted saved....decisions are the WORST!
Here first card I picked uses last month's Enjoy Life set. I LOVE how she added the topping to her ice cream scoops. So fun!! The cork for the cone is GENIUS, too! One of the things about Kim's cards is she is so good at pairing papers, and embellishments together that just pull everything together. Her paper and color choices are always so spot on, and she is able to achieve such depth with her creations.
Her second card uses the Side by Side set from There She Goes, and she has made it look SO elegant, I almost didn't recognize it. Completely different from her first card, but SO gorgeous and perfectly done. The colors, distressing, sponging, and all the texture are so amazing, I sighed out loud when I saw it.
Finally, I settled on one of her cards from last week's release using the new Enjoy Life-By the Sea set....SO CUTE!!! I LOVE the adorable scene she created using a heart die, and her expert sponging. The depth of color on the water is TRULY stunning. I also LOVE how she was able to create an almost irridescent look to her jellyfish...it's just PERFECT!! Amazing layout, perfect colors and papers, and the layout is so creative and fun...it's truly one of my favorite cards of hers...and not just because it uses my favorite line from that set-Be my squishy!!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to stop by Kim's blog and say hello!!!
Kim's work is amazing. I wish I could think like her when I make cards. I just love that all her little details bring the card together.
