Dollar Find Friday - pumpkin treat basket

Happy TGIF, everybody!
I'll show you today the little project that I created for my friend's daughters. It's a Halloween treat basket, and I made it with the adorable images from the newly released Hauntingly Delightful set.
I got a papier-mache basket from the local craft store for 6AUD (that would be a little less in USD). I know it's not exactly a one dollar find, but there was nothing decent enough around at the time... besides, for a gift that's sure to delight the little girls, it was a no-brainer for me to pick!

I needed to paint the basket, so I mixed yellow & red together for a nice shade of orange.
I also painted four long wooden skewers black.

While waiting for the basket & skewers to dry, I watercoloured and cut out these little guys:

When ready, I glued them to the top of each skewer.
When the basket was dry, I picked some fun pumpkin ribbon and glued it on around the rim.

and used another style of ribbon, to decorate the handle:

I needed some colourful & fluffy filling, so I found some tissue paper in lilac & brown, and cut it into long stripes.

Voila! Here's the finished basket:

I hope you enjoyed!
