Wednesday Trends - Baker's Twine

Hi there everyone!!! It's Angela here today and so happy that you've popped by.  I'm loving seeing everyone's creations this week with my "Create a Scene" Challenge. How much fun!!!

I'll admit it, I like trends and there are some that come and go but this one, I know I'll use as long as it's around. What is it you ask???  BAKER'S TWINE!!! I'm loving it! On Wednesdays here at the TSG Blog, the Trendsetter of the Week comes up with Tips and Tricks or a Trend.  I chose to go with Trends (my first order of Baker's Twine arrived from The Twinery last Friday and I couldn't wait to dig into it.

Aren't those colors just divine?? I'm loving the shades and I noticed that they match some of the SU Cardstock as well as a lot of DP that I have.

Now what can you do with Twine?  So many things!!  I've only touched the tip of the iceberg and I've seen a lot of cute things that I  know I'll be trying it out.

I'm a girl who loves buttons... and as far as I'm concerned, you can't leave them naked... it just looks wrong (just my opinion and who listens to me anyway right?) For this card above, I created an acorn shaped card (the template for this acorn came from Dina Kowal's blog).  The sentiment comes from the new set, Bountiful Blessings.

Another great way of using twine is in place of ribbon. It gives it a different look and I love it!! Sometimes ribbon is just too big and bulky but the Baker's Twine adds a little bit of color and makes everything a bit more streamlined.  I colored the tag using images from the sets, Home Sweet Home and HSH Holiday Additions.  This actually began as an ATC made last month at a stamping event and our fearless leader, Jessica was in charge of this make and take. Love it!!

I hope you enjoyed my Trend for the week!!! The Baker's Twine is simply divine and you'll definitely be seeing it on a lot of my cards in the near future.
