Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday! It's Jodi here with you today and I have a mini tutorial to share with you featuring something that I have been doing on my cards lately, framing!! This is SO easy to do and it really packs alot of punch on any design!
To start, stamp your image and then cut it out and emboss it using Nestabilities. Here I have used Circle Nestabilities and the wreath from Seasons Greetings. Then, using a Copic Multiliner, simply trace around the inside of the die. (NOTE: I use a Copic Multiliner because I color with Copic Markers, and the Multliner will not bleed. If you do not use Copic Markers, or other alcohol based markers, any fine point marker or pen will do the trick.)
As you can see, when you remove the die, you have a perfect frame for your image. I generally put the cardstock back into the die and sponge the edges at this point, but that is totally optional.

One of my favorite things to do when framing an image, is to create a frame around a sentiment. In this picture you can see that I stamped the penguin from Penguin Pals and then cut it out and embossed it using Square Nestabilities. I then stamped the sentiment, Ho Ho Ho, quite close to the embossed line.

I placed the cardstock back into the die, and this time, when tracing the inside of the square, I started at one end of the sentiment and ended at the other, leaving a bit of space on either side. I love the clean, crisp look this gives, with the tiniest bit of effort!

Here is my finished card using the penguin panel from the tutorial! There are SO many ways to use this simple idea. You could go really elegant and use one of the Labels Nestabilities for an intricate look, or even do a dashed line instead of a continuous line around the die! The possibilities are endless!

I hope you've enjoyed my mini tutorial and are inspired to try this for yourself!
