ABC Friday - Dry Erase Weekly Meal Planner

Hi everyone! Kim T here for "Anything but a card Friday" and I decided to try something a little different this week! I had an extra 8x10" frame laying around my craft room so decided to kill 2 birds with one stone and make a project as well as to help myself in my weekly meal planning! (The picture below is a photo of the card without the glass so that you could see some of the details)

I am forever plagued but losing the my weekly meal planning lists and because I don't particularly enjoy meal planning in general, there is nothing worse than having to do it twice in one week! So I made this pretty dry erase board meal planner using the Bon Appetit set and my computer :D I created the little weekly calendar and banners on my computer and combined it with my coloured chef whom I have affectionately named Chef Boyardee :D

Did you know that glass acts beautifully as a dry erase board? So framed works of art/cards are the perfect use for creating beautiful dry erase boards. This one will sit on my kitchen island and now I won't have to go looking for stray lists that have grown legs and walked away all by themselves and best of all it's re-usable!

Thanks for coming by today and if you decide to make one of your own, link it here so that we can see too :D

  2. What a great idea. This turned out beautifully. I used to do the paper meal planning when my kids were home. It was a pain, but it was a real life-saver and money saver. When I planned the meals like this, I didn't have nearly so many things that had to be thrown away. although I never planned breakfast, lunch and dinner. Just dinners. The glass dry erase is a good idea. I never would have thought of that.
