Stampbook Saturday: Exploring!

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a great Saturday so far!

I used to scrapbook long before I discovered card making and the only reason I thought I decided to make cards was because I figured I could use up the left over patterned paper from scrapbooking and make something  cute out of them! Five years later, I buy paper for my cards and use my scraps for my scrapbook pages! lol Talk about doing a 180!

A couple of weeks ago, we visited a local kids science museum with one of our daughter's friends and neighbor. They had such a great time exploring the bubbles area, visiting the honey bees and investigating how whirlwinds work. They had such a great time, that I wanted to remember the outing with a scrapbook page!

(EDIT: I apologize for the awful photo!! I couldn't take a good one late last night, so I'm waiting until the morning to take a better one! That's what you get for being a last minute lucy!)

The Cutie Pi set was the perfect set for these photos! I colored the bottles with my reinkers and aquapainter brush and used the banner die from the World's Best Die set for the ribbon underneath the sentiment, which is also from the Cutie Pi set. The layout is one I CASed from this gorgeous scrapbook page.

My cardmaking style has defintiely influenced my scrapbook style now. I never used to sew on pages, use Distress Inks or add stamps to them, but now I do all those and I love the pages even more! I think stamps add that little bit extra to a page, don't you?

Have you scrapbooked,...or rather, stamp-booked, today??

  1. This is an absolutely beautiful page Sandra! The layout and papers are wonderful, and the stamped images add the perfect accent to the page. I love the black and white photos against the bright colored paper as well!
