Fabric

For today's Wednesday trends, I am going to feature using fabric on your projects! I love looking at all of the neat rows of fabric lined up at the craft stores and only wish I knew how to quilt!! Last time I was there, I saw a small bin near the cutting table that had small rolls of fabric leftovers from the bolts. I scrounged through the bin and scored quite a few nice prints for only a few dollars. I just knew I could do something with them and here is what I came up with!
For my first card I used the fabric as a background paper. I drew a heart (not very well I must admit) on my navy card stock and then cut it out with my hobby blade. I took my fabric and placed it behind the heart and used some red line tape to hold it in place. Then I stiched around it kind of messy like! I stamped my sentiment from the Chemistry set and added some black rhinestones and a big bow to complete the look.

For my next example I used the fabric as an accent or embellishment. I used my circle Spellbinder dies in my Big Shot to cut out the fabric circles. It worked like a charm! I again used a bit of red line tape to tack down the circles and then stitched around them with my sewing machine. I stamped my laundry basket from the Loads of Fun set in memento black ink and colored it in with my Copic markers. I used my circle nestabilities again to cut it out to match my fabric circles. Some extra stitching, dry embossing and fun trims are the finishing touches!

What can you do with fabric in your papercrafting?! Leave a link so we can check them out!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Wednesday!
