Stampbook Saturday ~

Happy Saturday, friends!

A while back I approached Jessica about joining the rotation for Stampbook Saturday. This was quite a leap for me as I am NOT a scrapbooker. I did, however, want to try my hand at it.

What is a Stampbook Page? A Stampbook Page (TSG style) is a scrapbook page that is inspired by a card and includes stamping. A Stampbook Page could also just be a scrapbook page that features stamping. Each week Trendsetters create a new Stampbook Page to give you ideas on how to use your stamps in a new way and hopefully inspire you to catch up on those family photos that you've been meaning to scrapbook ;)
I think the most fun part of this project was spending the day with my men. It was quite a job getting all five of them to agree on a time and place. Then to get the weather here in Colorado to cooperate with us... well that's just a whole other story!
We headed out to a local sculpture park. The sun was shining when we arrived, but it was bitter cold. The guys did NOT want to take their jackets off, so I gave them some time to goof off and warm up.
They really are a clan. As much as they fight with each other, you could not slip a piece of paper between them... they are THAT close.

Being of Irish heritage, I immediately thought of There She Goes' Blessings set. I found these cool burlap looking papers at the local craft store and here is what I came up with:
I used an old Catholic blessing from St. Patrick and did my journaling on the computer. I topped it off with some metallic gold papers and voila... done.
Close up of the card that inspired the Stampbook Page-
