Hunny Bunnies/Bear Hugs Blog Hop Challenge

It is so hard to believe that Easter is just around the corner! That means it’s time to start thinking about cute little bunnies, chicks and beautifully colored Easter eggs. Hunny Bunnies is not only a great Easter stamp set but it is also versatile enough that you can use all year long! The bunny was created especially so that it can hold an assortment of different items. Each of these items was designed so you can stamp them on a separate piece of paper, color as desired, cut out and paper piece right onto the bunny!

*Hunny Bunnies is a 4x6 stamp set that includes a total of 33 stamps and will sell for $15.*

Bear Hugs is a great mini set that works in addition to the Hunny Bunnies. The bodies on both the bunny and teddy are the exact same so that the images that they can hold are interchangeable! You will love creating projects with this adorable teddy bear!

*Bear Hugs is a 3x4 mini set that includes a total of 20 stamps and will sell for $7.*

Would you like a chance to win both Hunny Bunnies and Bear Hugs? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Hunny Bunnies and Bear Hug Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own Hunny Bunnies and Bear Hug stamp sets. The winner will be announced Saturday (Feb. 27th) during the Release Party Chat.

Our first stop on the hop is Jessica!
I have included a list of the other Trendsetters as well just in case you get lost :)

Make A Wish Blog Hop Challenge

I have been told many times over that TSG needs to come out with another birthday set. During one of our TSG Friday Night Chats, I asked everyone what they would like to see included in a birthday set. I took down lots of notes and thought long and hard about what kind of things people would like. I am very happy with the way that this set turned out! This just may be the only birthday stamp set that you will ever need! Not only is there a total of 65 different stamps but it has all of the images you need to create a birthday themed projects. From cupcakes and cakes to banners and party hats, this set has everything!

Make A Wish is a 6x8 stamp set that includes a total of 65(!!!) stamps and will sell for only $23!

Would you like a chance to win the Make A Wish stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Make A Wish Blog Hop Challenge post. Dance/Beautiful Spring Blog Hop Challenge

Welcome to day one of the TSG March Release Blog Hop Challenges! Over the next few days, you will have a chance to win the new stamp sets being previewed simply by blog hopping and leaving love at each of the participating Trendsetter's blogs. Today we are showing you two brand new mini sets, Dance and Beautiful Spring.

*Dance*
This mini set is very near and dear to my heart! It was created in honor of a friend of mine who passed away in early January. Linda was a member of the stamping group that I belong to that gets together once a month. She was so full of life and always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. Linda’s life was taken from us all to soon because of a disease called Amyloidosis. She was so much fun to be around and will be missed dearly by the many people that knew and loved her. $4 from every Dance mini set sold will be donated to the Amyloidosis Support Group in Linda’s name. She was such a helpful person in life and this is my way to honor her memory by donate money to an organization that helped her and her family during that difficult time.

-Dance is a 3x4 mini set that includes 7 image stamps and 1 large beautiful sentiment stamp that will sell for $7.

*Beautiful Spring*
Spring is almost here which means that it won’t be much longer until the flowers start blooming. If you live in an area that is still cold and snowy, have no fear because TSG is bringing spring to you! Beautiful Spring has wonderful Tulip and Daffodil images that are so much fun to color! There are also some wonderful sentiments included in this mini set that will surely add some spring to your life.

-Beautiful Spring is a 3x4 mini set that includes 5 image stamps and 4 sentiments stamps that will sell for $7.

Would you like a chance to win the mini sets Dance & Beautiful Spring? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Dance/Beautiful Spring Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. TSG43- Birthday Sparkles

I’ll admit it. I am horrible at getting out birthday cards (or any other type of card for that matter lol!) to friends and family on time. I have a feeling that I’m not the only stamper out there that has this same problem ;) My challenge for you is to create a birthday card to help build up your card stash so you will have a special card ready for when you need it. The only catch is that you have to have some sort of sparkle on your card! This can be glitter, shimmer, rhinestones, stickles, you get the idea.

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a birthday card with sparkles on it, then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the Mr. Linky that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (March 1st). The winner will receive a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. I will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG43 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Need some inspiration to get you started? Check out these great cards made by the following Trendsetters!

Stampbook Saturday ~

Happy Saturday, friends!

A while back I approached Jessica about joining the rotation for Stampbook Saturday. This was quite a leap for me as I am NOT a scrapbooker. I did, however, want to try my hand at it.

What is a Stampbook Page? A Stampbook Page (TSG style) is a scrapbook page that is inspired by a card and includes stamping. A Stampbook Page could also just be a scrapbook page that features stamping. Each week Trendsetters create a new Stampbook Page to give you ideas on how to use your stamps in a new way and hopefully inspire you to catch up on those family photos that you've been meaning to scrapbook ;)
I think the most fun part of this project was spending the day with my men. It was quite a job getting all five of them to agree on a time and place. Then to get the weather here in Colorado to cooperate with us... well that's just a whole other story!
We headed out to a local sculpture park. The sun was shining when we arrived, but it was bitter cold. The guys did NOT want to take their jackets off, so I gave them some time to goof off and warm up.
They really are a clan. As much as they fight with each other, you could not slip a piece of paper between them... they are THAT close.

Being of Irish heritage, I immediately thought of There She Goes' Blessings set. I found these cool burlap looking papers at the local craft store and here is what I came up with:
I used an old Catholic blessing from St. Patrick and did my journaling on the computer. I topped it off with some metallic gold papers and voila... done.
Close up of the card that inspired the Stampbook Page-
Here are my details:
Stamps: There She Goes' Blessings and A-Z and 1,2,3
Colors: GP White, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Mello Moss, Metallic Gold, Paper studio dps
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, copics
Accessories: chipboard letters, nesties, circle punches, dimensionals, jute

Dollar Find Friday!

Join us right here tonight for the Friday Night Chat!! And don't forget to check out Gretchen's awesome Dollar Find Friday project!

Happy Friday! Gretchen here with a cute little project for you for Dollar Find Friday!

About 8 years ago I took a class through my mom's group at church that was all about organization. One thing I learned was menu planning. Not only did this woman teach us how to menu plan, but also how to grocery shop! I was diligent in my monthly menu planning for quite a few years and then slowly let it slide. Well, in today's economy, and with 4 growing children, every penny in my grocery budget counts so I decided it was time to get back into the menu planning! My family is not at all picky and I love to find new recipes online to add some variety to our monthly menu. When I spotted this little clipboard in the dollar section of my craft store, I knew exactly what to use it for- a recipe card holder! This is what it looked like before I got my hands on it!
It also came with a tiny peg to hold it upright and it also has a hook on the back if you want to hang it on your wall. Even though it was only $1, the silver clip part actually screws off so it's that much easier to decorate! The front was also very smooth so I didn't even have to sand it before I adhered my DP.
To start out, I took off the clip and glued on a layer of riding hood red card stock and then a layer of DP from October Afternoon's Farm Fresh line with my Tombow glue. I sanded the edges a little so they didn't hang over the edge of the clipboard at all. I added a few more layers of card stock and DP and then I stamped my plate cover from the ROFL Taglines set in memento rich cocoa ink and colored it in with my Copics. I also added a bit of sparkle around the rim of the plate cover and used my circle nestabilities to cut it out. I used pop dots on only the bottom half of the circle so that the recipe card can slip underneath the top half and that will help hold it in place if necessary. I decorated the clip with some more DP and a label with the sentiment from the set ROFL Taglines before reattaching it to the clip board. I just love it and it matches my kitchen decor perfectly!

Well, off to menu plan! Thanks for stopping by!

Trendsetting Spotlight- Kim N

It's time for the Trendsetting Spotlight! Each Thursday we feature a card made by someone who has participated in the previous week's TSG Challenge. Would you like to be in the Trendsetting Spotlight?? Join in the fun by participating in our weekly challenges posted every Monday!

I had so much fun going through all of the entries for last week's challenge! You guys did such an amazing job! One project that stuck out to me in particular is this one by Kim N. This is such a creative way to use the Chemistry set and I love all of the little detail she included! How perfect is that sentiment?? Great job Kim, thanks for sharing!
I hope that you will all play along in this week's TSG Challenge!

Fabric

For today's Wednesday trends, I am going to feature using fabric on your projects! I love looking at all of the neat rows of fabric lined up at the craft stores and only wish I knew how to quilt!! Last time I was there, I saw a small bin near the cutting table that had small rolls of fabric leftovers from the bolts. I scrounged through the bin and scored quite a few nice prints for only a few dollars. I just knew I could do something with them and here is what I came up with!
For my first card I used the fabric as a background paper. I drew a heart (not very well I must admit) on my navy card stock and then cut it out with my hobby blade. I took my fabric and placed it behind the heart and used some red line tape to hold it in place. Then I stiched around it kind of messy like! I stamped my sentiment from the Chemistry set and added some black rhinestones and a big bow to complete the look.

For my next example I used the fabric as an accent or embellishment. I used my circle Spellbinder dies in my Big Shot to cut out the fabric circles. It worked like a charm! I again used a bit of red line tape to tack down the circles and then stitched around them with my sewing machine. I stamped my laundry basket from the Loads of Fun set in memento black ink and colored it in with my Copic markers. I used my circle nestabilities again to cut it out to match my fabric circles. Some extra stitching, dry embossing and fun trims are the finishing touches!

What can you do with fabric in your papercrafting?! Leave a link so we can check them out!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Wednesday!
