Dadisms Blog Hop Challenge

You know that I couldn’t have a Domestic Goddess set without having a fun dad set to accompany it! This humorous set is perfect for making Father’s Day Cards that will make your dad smile. Dads have their own way of teaching their kids lessons on life and I’m sure that many of you have some fond memories of the quirky things your dad would say in certain situations. This stamp set not only includes images to create your own dad and living room scene, but there is also a background stamp that includes all of those great Dadisms that we grew up with! The images in this set were also designed to coordinate with your Domestic Goddess set for even more versatility!!

Dadisms is a 6x8 stamp set that includes a total of 31 stamps and will sell for $24.

Would you like a chance to win the Dadisms stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Dadisms Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own Dadisms stamp set. The winner will be announced Saturday (May 29th) during the Release Party Chat

The first stop on our hop is the fabulous Danielle! I have also included links to the rest of the Trendsetters that will be participating in this hop just in case you get lost along the way.

By The Sea Blog Hop Challenge

This beautiful ocean/beach themed set was illustrated by talented Chris Dark. The ocean is one of my very favorite places to be. There is just something so amazingly calming about it that instantly puts me at peace. I’ve had the idea for a beach set for awhile and when I met Chris, I knew that her illustration style would be perfect for it! I sketched up a rough draft of my ideas and emailed them to her. When I received her illustrations a short time later I was absolutely blown away! The way she brought this set to life is just amazing. The detail in her images make you feel as if you are right there at the beach enjoying the calming waves and the salty sea air :)

By The Sea is a 6x8 stamp set that includes a total of 37 stamps and will sell for $24.

Would you like a chance to win the By The Sea stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their By The Sea Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own By The Sea stamp set. The winner will be announced Saturday (May 29th) during the Release Party Chat.

~~~ Happy Birthday, Jessica!!!!! ~
Surprise!!!
You might want to check out Chris Dark's blog. :)
This week’s challenge is brought to us by Jessica! She is challenging us to create a card that includes these TWO features: altered corners (rounded, ticket, scallop, etc) and a border punch on one of the layers. You can have as many border punched layers as you want on your card but there has to be at least one to qualify for this challenge. We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that utilizes altered corners and a border punch, then go to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the Inlinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (May 31st). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!
By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)
You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. Stampbook Saturday by Pam
Hello my friends. Pam here to bring you another Stampbook Saturday. I love doing these because they make me scrapbook more of my family photos that are just lying here so unloved. LOL
What is a Stampbook Page? A Stampbook Page is a scrapbook page created using stamps and inspired by a card. Each week we create a new Stampbook Page to give you ideas on how to use your stamps in a new way and hopefully inspire you to catch up on those family photos that you've been meaning to scrapbook ;)
I was inspired by this gorgeous card from Sandra. She used the Poppies stamp set and some Basic Grey Kioshi paper.
Sandra_thumb
For my page I used a couple of photos of my parents taken at my son’s birthday party a couple of months ago. Can I just tell you how much I love and adore this page with my precious parents. I used the same paper and stamp set that Sandra used on her card.
Mom-and-Dad-1_thumb
That’s it for me today. Thanks for stopping by and joining me. I hope you are inspired to scrapbook more of your photos and use those stamps. So easy!!!!
Hugs,
Pam
Congrats Lisa! Email me with your info and I will get your goodies out to you :)
*****************************
Hi friends! I'm going to be the first to say it.... Summer is coming!! It is suppose to be in the mid 80s here today, tomorrow and Sunday. Can you smell the grill firing up!? I can!
Since we live at a fairly high altitude (just under 5000 ft), summer means dry skin and chapped lips. We go through a load of chap stick here in these parts. So my project today is a little chap stick holder that is a great little giftie for just about anyone.
I found these chap sticks at Joann's in their dollar bin a while back. Truth be told, you can find them for about $.88 at Walmart! LOL I wanted this one as it matched a set of lotions, etc.
First you need two pieces of cardstock. The first piece being 1 1/2 x 5 1/4". This will be the inside piece that holds the chap stick in place. The second piece will be 1 3/4 x 8 3/4" and will become the outside.
Score the smaller piece at 3/8", 1 3/4", 3 1/2", and 4 7/8". Using the smallest circle nestability, cut holes in this piece as shown above. (You may be able to use a hole punch, but I didn't have one the appropriate size.)
On the larger piece, score at 1 3/4", 3 1/8", 5 7/8", and 7 1/4".
Next I decorated the pieces with the lips stamp from the Roses and Chocolate set. I stamped the image randomly in pink, rose and red. Then I did a tiny bit of shading with a light gray copic.
Add a small piece of adhesive on the small end tabs on the inside piece. Fold the piece so that it adheres to the outside piece like this:
Finish decorating as desired! I added a small handle and a tag to mine (the sentiment Pamper Yourself comes from the Rejuvenate set). I also added a small piece of velcro dot to hold it closed.
These are so quick to make. My aunt Marci is a chemo patient and we like to take a basket of goodies to her chemo nurses every now and again. I think I'll be making a bunch of these for her next visit!
That's it! Hope you like :)
Hugs,
Holly
