Chemistry Blog Hop Challenge

Last month at the Release Party Chat, I had a fun challenge where the winner would get to work with me on designing a brand new mini set to add to the TSG stamp line. The lucky winner was Michele and boy did she come up with a fabulous idea for a fun set about love! Since both she and her husband are chemists (she is a chemistry teacher) it was only fitting that we should create a set together using this theme. She did a great job of sketching ideas for images and sentiments and when I got them, I couldn’t wait to get started. What began as a mini set, quickly turned into a 4x8 set including 18 images and 12 sentiments that are perfect for making cards to give to the one you love! Chemistry will be sold for $18.

Would you like a chance to win a set of Chemistry? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Chemistry Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog hop challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own set of Chemistry. The winner will be announced Saturday (Jan. 30th) during the Release Party Chat.

Our first stop on this Blog Hop Challenge is our special guest Michele! I have included a list of the other Trendsetters as well just in case you get lost :)

It’s the beginning of release week here on the TSG Blog and we have a great sketch to start off the festivities! Keep an eye out as you just may see a few Trendsetters using our soon-to-be-released stamp sets for their sketch challenge cards ;)
To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card/layout using the provided sketch, then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the Mr. Linky that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Feb. 1st). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. I will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG39 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Stampbook Saturday- Jessica

It's Stampbook Saturday! Jessica here to show you a stampbook page that I created of my two oldest daughters and their first 'boyfriends' :) The mom of these two little cuties and I are conspiring together on how we are going to arrange their future marriages lol! I took these pictures at a play date that we had during Christmas break. The kids had a blast and it was sooo nice to have some grown up time for a change!

What is a Stampbook Page? A Stampbook Page is a scrapbook page created using stamps and inspired by a card. Each week I create a new Stampbook Page to give you ideas on how to use your stamps in a new way and hopefully inspire you to catch up on those family photos that you've been meaning to scrapbook ;)

The first picture I have to share with you is the Stampbook Page and the card that it was inspired by (the card was actually inspired by a gorgeous card made by fellow Trendsetter Jodi. Check out this post on my blog for the details on the card)

Larger view of just the Stampbook Page. Not sure why the coloring on this one is a little wonky... How cute are those kiddos? I hope those boys can handle those feisty girls of mine ;)

And here are some close up pictures of the details on the page-

I hope you enjoyed this week's Stampbook Page and that you will give it a try. It is so much fun to create beautiful pages using your favorite pictures that you will get to cherish for many years to come!

Page Recipe:
Stamps- Loads Of Fun
Ink- Momento Tuxedo Black, Chocolate Chip
Paper- Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, DP by My Minds Eye (I think?)
Accessories- Prima flowers, Dimensionals, Blender Pen, Scallop Boarder Punch (SU), Sewing Machine, Buttons, Embroidery Thread

Dollar Find Friday and Friday Night Chat!

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you will join us tonight here on the TSG Forum for our Friday Night Chat! The chat officially begins at 7:00 PM Pacific Time (10 Eastern) but feel free to stop in at any time during the day to say hello :) Now go check out Jodi's great Dollar Find Friday project!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!!

It's Jodi here with you today and I have a SUPER easy project to share with you!! I found this DARLING square notebook in the $1.00 bin at Michaels, and while it had a Christmas cover, I knew it would be SUPER easy to alter!!

I have been wanting a little address book to keep in my stamp room for ages! One of my (many) New Years Resolutions is to send out more Rak's, and now I FINALLY have a place to put all the addresses and birthdays of my wonderful stamping friends! I call this my "Friends That Stamp Book" (grin!).

MANY, many There She Goes stamp sets were used in the making of this book (but none were harmed...giggle!!). I started by stamping the desk from Friendship Flowers (my VERY first TSG set!!), and I colored it with Copic Markers. The drawer handles received a coat of Clear Spica Glitter Pen and I added labels to the drawers, "paper", "stamps" and "embellies". The vase and flower are also from Friendship Flowers and I stamped them separately and just adhered them to the desk.

I wanted to make this a stamping desk, so I pulled out Craftier Taglines and stamped the stack of paper, the rubber stamp and the ink pad and then colored them all with Copic Markers. Instead of using the ink pad image for it's original purpose, I added some keyboard keys and the words "There She Goes" and popped it up on the desk so it looks like a laptop! The sentiment that I used, "There is nothing better than a friend, unless it's a friend who stamps" is also from Craftier Taglines. This sentiment could NOT be any more perfect for the purpose of my book!!

The delish patterned paper is from Cherry Hill by October Afternoon, and I added an Apron Lace border to the bottom of my focal panel. Behind the focal panel is a Choice Buttercream panel that I cut with the largest Scallop Circle Nestabilities. A yummy green satin ribbon tied around the circle nestie and I added some more ribbons to the spiral binding!

I used my Round Tab Punch to create the dividers in my book! Using A-Z, 123 made making the tags SUPER easy!!
I also made tags for Birthdays and Anniversaries, and I used Holidays Galore for that purpose!!
All the paper is from Prism, and I used Rose Medium and Intense Kiwi.
I can't wait to start inputting all the addresses, birthdays and anniversaries...hey, maybe I can actually get a card out on time now! LOL!!
Thanks SO much for stopping by! Hope to chat with you tonight at Friday Night Chat!!
Jodi
