Wednesday Trends- Top 5 Embellishments

*For some reason Blogger didn't publish yesterday's Trendsetter Tuesday like it was supposed to so make sure you scroll down to check out what Jessie's favorite paper crafting products are!*

Hey everyone, and welcome to this week's Wednesday Trend post!! This week, I decided that we would cover what I have found to be the top 5 embellishments in the stamping world!! They aren't in any particular order, but I am going to start with Ribbon...who doesn't LOVE ribbon (besides Jessica, haha).

1. Ribbon
Ribbon, for me, and apparently everyone else, adds so much to a card. Whether tied around the card, through a punched hole, on a spiral clip, or as a ribbon tab, ribbon is one of the things you see on the mass majority of cards out there.

2. Bling
The next embellishment in my top 5, is BLING!!! Jodi has used a TON of yummmmy bling on the card I have shown below. "Bling" comes in a variety of styles, shapes, and sizes...but it all boils down to one thing...it makes it SPARKLE!! Let's face it ladies, who doesn't need a little bling in their lives?

3. Buttons
My next embellishment is BUTTONS!! Jessica's card has so many yummy buttons on it, I couldn't help but show it off!! WOW!! Buttons are so much fun, and like bling, come in many colors, sizes, shapes and varieties. Whether naked(nothing in the holes), with ribbon, or with thread, buttons add a little extra somethin' somethin' to all your creations!!

4. Brads
Number four on my random list, is BRADS. Like buttons, and bling, and ribbons...oh my, hehe, brads also
come in various colors, sizes, and shapes. You can use them just to embellish, to hold things onto your card, the skies the limit!!

5. Sewing
My last embellishment, and one that I hope to master VERY soon is SEWING!! LOVE IT!! Whether using a Janome Sew Mini, or a regular sewing machine(which I give you major props for because I tried it and DIDN'T excel at it), you cannot deny how much a little sewing adds to a card. Jodi sewed a TON on her card, and it is making me giddy just looking at it!! I am a HUGE fan of paper piercing(shocker), but I would love to add a little sewing to my repertoire!!

Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

  1. I agree - these five ROCK (as do dimensionals - I still have to look for those teeny ones you requested last week).
