ABC Friday - Tooth Fairy Tins

Kim O'Connell checkin' in to wish you a happy ABC Friday.  Yep.  It's "Anything But a Card" Friday so I have little somethin' somethin' to share with you.

Every kid should have a tooth fairy tin to put those teensy tiny teeth into to make life a little easier for the Tooth Fairy.  Fortunately, we have a "Tooth Fairy Approved" stamp set that is perfect for making tooth fairy tins!

I decorated the tins inside and out.

You can package them up using a clear bag and creating a topper.

I get my 2 oz. screw top lids tins (6518200P) right HERE and the clear bags right HERE.
If you would like to purchase the Tooth Fairy Approved stamp set, you can find it HERE!

Wednesday Trends - "Out of the Box" Technique Tutorial

Kim O'Connell here with a quick tutorial on one of my favorite techniques called the "out of the box" technique.

First, stamp the image of your choice.  I am using an image from the
"A Little Treat" stamp set.  Choose a die that is smaller than the image so that part of the image falls outside of the die.

Now, take that die and run it though your die cutting machine on a separate piece of card stock.  I am using black cardstock so it will be easy for you to see.  We are going to use the negative from the die cut.  Lay it over your image and lightly trace around the edge with a pencil.

Now fussy cut the part of the image that is sticking out beyond the circle.

Now put your die back over the image (cutting side facing down) by putting the part of the image that is extended beyond the circle through the die before laying it flat.  Make sure the part of the image that extends beyond the circle lays on TOP of you die so that you don't cut it off.

Run it through your die cutting machine and now it will look like this:

Erase any pencil lines that may remain.  Color your image and assemble your card!  It's that easy!   Here's my finished card:

The out of the box technique is great for spotlighting a certain part of the image!  Give it a try!

Trendsetter Tuesday- Kim O'Connell

This week's Trendsetter of the week is my favorite donkey and yours, Kim O'Connell. I LOVE her to pieces, and love that I get to work with her, and call her my friend...she's also HYSTERICAL in person, so she's ACTUALLY all that and a bag of stamps.

Recently, she was asked to join the Dirty Dozen on Splitcoaststampers.com, and we are SUPER proud of her! Thanks Kim for being you, and a part of our team...we love you!

HEEEHAW!!

For the first card of Kim's that I wanted to share with you, she used the new Aquaholic stamp set from this past release. I love how she made the card look like a fishbowl...how cute!

Here second card was one that she made to celebrate Jessica's birthday. She used the super cute Giddy Up set. Isn't it super adorable??!

For her third card, I chose one she made with the SCENT-sational stamp set. I love her coloring, layout, and the way she drew in the grass. too cute.

Be sure to check out Kim's blog and tell her I said hi!

Stampbook Saturday: puppy love!

Happy Saturday everyone, it's Mary J here with my last day as this week's featured Trendsetter.  Okay, so here goes - my very first ever scrapbook page!  I must say that I like my little "canvases" on cards - I found the huge space on my scrapbook page really hard to fill up!  Of course, I had to do a layout with my two fur balls, Poppy and Lulu, and wanted to show them in their usual place, lying by my desk and snuggling each other!

I'm not sure if I like my first 8 x 8 page that much, but I do love the stamps I used!  I has to use one of my all time favourite stamps called Puppy Love by illustrator Torico.  I used Kristin Cronin-Barrow Pumpkins and Spice papers and My Favorite Things fishtail banners.

Well I need a lot more scrapbooking practice but not a bad start!  Thanks for joining me on my week as the featured There She Goes Trendsetter!
