Dollar Find Friday and Friday Night Chat!

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you will join us tonight here on the TSG Forum for our Friday Night Chat! The chat officially begins at 7:00 PM Pacific Time (10 Eastern) but feel free to stop in at any time during the day to say hello :) Now go check out Jodi's great Dollar Find Friday project!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!!

It's Jodi here with you today and I have a SUPER easy project to share with you!! I found this DARLING square notebook in the $1.00 bin at Michaels, and while it had a Christmas cover, I knew it would be SUPER easy to alter!!

I have been wanting a little address book to keep in my stamp room for ages! One of my (many) New Years Resolutions is to send out more Rak's, and now I FINALLY have a place to put all the addresses and birthdays of my wonderful stamping friends! I call this my "Friends That Stamp Book" (grin!).

MANY, many There She Goes stamp sets were used in the making of this book (but none were harmed...giggle!!). I started by stamping the desk from Friendship Flowers (my VERY first TSG set!!), and I colored it with Copic Markers. The drawer handles received a coat of Clear Spica Glitter Pen and I added labels to the drawers, "paper", "stamps" and "embellies". The vase and flower are also from Friendship Flowers and I stamped them separately and just adhered them to the desk.

I wanted to make this a stamping desk, so I pulled out Craftier Taglines and stamped the stack of paper, the rubber stamp and the ink pad and then colored them all with Copic Markers. Instead of using the ink pad image for it's original purpose, I added some keyboard keys and the words "There She Goes" and popped it up on the desk so it looks like a laptop! The sentiment that I used, "There is nothing better than a friend, unless it's a friend who stamps" is also from Craftier Taglines. This sentiment could NOT be any more perfect for the purpose of my book!!

The delish patterned paper is from Cherry Hill by October Afternoon, and I added an Apron Lace border to the bottom of my focal panel. Behind the focal panel is a Choice Buttercream panel that I cut with the largest Scallop Circle Nestabilities. A yummy green satin ribbon tied around the circle nestie and I added some more ribbons to the spiral binding!

I used my Round Tab Punch to create the dividers in my book! Using A-Z, 123 made making the tags SUPER easy!!
I also made tags for Birthdays and Anniversaries, and I used Holidays Galore for that purpose!!
All the paper is from Prism, and I used Rose Medium and Intense Kiwi.
I can't wait to start inputting all the addresses, birthdays and anniversaries...hey, maybe I can actually get a card out on time now! LOL!!
Thanks SO much for stopping by! Hope to chat with you tonight at Friday Night Chat!!
